Have you ever wanted to be a charity trustee?  At the moment, getting involved actively in something that you care about can be uplifting and give a real sense of purpose, and there just happens to be a wonderful opportunity for the right person.

Creswell Crags Museum and Prehistoric Gorge in North Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire is looking for five new trustees over the next couple of months, as part of its exciting future plans to grow and improve.

Bonfire Night celebrations and fireworks displays across Nottinghamshire, just like the whole of the UK, have sadly fallen victim to the coronavirus restrictions and are in very short supply this November 2020.

Virtually all the wonderful Bonfire Night events and fireworks displays usually held at our local rugby clubs, sports & social clubs, community spaces and pubs, in villages and towns, have been cancelled, but we’ve looked really hard and found you some fireworks events in Nottinghamshire and further afield.

I made a great discovery a couple of weeks ago when I was driving back home from a visit to Retford -  a wonderful fruit and vegetable stall in the centre of Sutton cum Lound village.  It was stocked with such an amazing array of fresh, seasonal vegetables, salads and fruits that I had to stop and buy some!

Free Christmas Parking for Retford & Worksop

Great news for shoppers in Retford and Worksop in the run-up to Christmas & over the Christmas to New Year period!

They will be able to take advantage of free parking in both towns in Bassetlaw District Council car parks this December.

Parking will be free from 2pm onwards every day from Monday 2nd December until Wednesday 1st January 2020.
