Illuminate Lantern Parade in Retford

Parade starts in Carolgate, Retford, Nottinghamshire
5.30pm, Tuesday 20th November 2018

Retford celebrates this year's Mayflower Pilgrim Festival with a beautiful Lantern Parade through the town centre, starting in Carolgate and ending at St. Swithun's Parish Church on the afternoon of Tuesday 20th November.

To be part of the Lantern Parade on 20th November, register from 5.00pm in Carolgate, Retford (near Wilko's) on the day itself.  Parade commences at 5.30pm and will walk to St. Swithun's. 

Bassetlaw played a key role in the story of the Mayflower Pilgrims, nearly 400 years ago, and in the lead-up to the main 400th anniversary celebrations in 2020, Retford and other local towns & villages hold celebrations every November.

Lantern Workshop

A free Lantern-making workshop is being held at Bassetlaw Museum on Friday 2nd November where you can create your very own illuminated lantern and then take it on the Lantern Parade on 20th.  Details here.
