Bonfire Night Firework Displays in Nottinghamshire & Beyond

Bonfire Night celebrations and fireworks displays across Nottinghamshire, just like the whole of the UK, have sadly fallen victim to the coronavirus restrictions and are in very short supply this November 2020.

Virtually all the wonderful Bonfire Night events and fireworks displays usually held at our local rugby clubs, sports & social clubs, community spaces and pubs, in villages and towns, have been cancelled, but we’ve looked really hard and found you some fireworks events in Nottinghamshire and further afield.

Drive-in Fireworks Display at Newark Showground

In Nottinghamshire, there seems to be just one big Bonfire Night event this year, a Drive-In Fireworks Display which will be held at Newark Showground on Sunday 8th November.

You can watch the fireworks from inside your car or standing outside and listening to the fabulous display music on your car stereo.  Sadly there won’t be any food on sale but you can bring all your own favourite Bonfire Night snacks and drinks!

Covid-19 rules and social distancing will be strictly adhered to.  Ticketed entry only and tickets will sell out fast so see the details HERE if you want to go.

Spectacle of Light at Rufford Abbey Country Park

Why not do something different this year for bonfire night and instead take a magical after-dark experience at the Spectacle of Light at Rufford Abbey Country Park?

It’s a wonderful illuminated trail where the trees and Abbey ruins will be lit in magical colour and the grounds will be adorned by Glowing Spheres and Flickering Field of Fire!

The Spectacle of Light is being held over 3 weekends - on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays - starting on Thursday 29 October to Sunday 1 November, then 5 - 8  and 12 to 15 November, every evening from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Always a popular event, this year is going to be even busier so, to avoid disappointment, we recommend you buying your tickets in advance HERE.
