    Interested in understanding the basics of map reading and navigation?  Join us on this interactive course where we will look at:
    - What are all the different map symbols?
    - What direction are you going in?
    - How do grid references help you to find places?
    - What is scale?
    - How do you measure distance?
    - How are hills and mountains shown on a map?
    - How to plan a walking route?

    If you don’t have access to a printer don’t worry this workbook can be posted to you (please let us know at booking). You will also need: Ruler, A piece of string or wool or a shoelace. Calculator or phone calculator. Pen and paper

     This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).
